The Nightmare Before Christmas

This Tim Burton stop-motion animated movie has become a cult classic and features music by Danny Elfman. It tells the story of Jack Skellington, king of Halloweentown, who has gotten bored with the annual routine of scaring people in the "real world" and accidentally enters Christmastown one evening while on a walk. The colorful scenes and happy workers there brighten Jack's spirits. He returns to Halloweentown where he plots to kidnap Santa and take over the role himself. But Jack's plans don't turn out like he had hoped.
